Brilliant.

This is an interesting project designed in my packaging class by Sybile Arien. She wanted to develop a subtle warning campaign about the danger of over consumption of refined sugar. In fact, like many industrial food products, it can potentially cause a lot more damage and offer very few health benefit. To enhance that communication, sugar associated diseases were printed in white on the bag making them legible only as the sugar level would lower revealing progressively the words. The faster you consume sugar, the sooner you get informed. (via packaging | UQAM | Sylvain Allard)

I always gave my brother shit for the amount of Monster and Mt. Dew he drank until he pointed out that the “healthy” fruit juice in our fridge had 30g of sugar compared to his drinks’ 18g. Now I’m on water, V8 Fusion Light (10g!!!) and skim milk. Sometimes I’m a sucker for carbonation so I’ll mix pomegranite juice with diet ginger ale or sierra mist.
